ING Belgium simplifies online payment with Wero for e-commerce

ING Belgium makes life easier for its clients by introducing Wero’s new e-commerce payment feature. Customers using the ING Banking app can now pay online merchants instantly and securely in just one scan, without entering extra details or waiting for confirmation.

Wero brings a new level of simplicity to online payments: one solution that works across multiple European countries, enabling clients to pay merchants wherever they shop. Payments are processed instantly, with funds credited to the merchant within seconds. And because Wero is based on secure bank transfers, there’s no need for a card. Having a bank account and the ING Banking app is all it takes.

This tool makes online payments faster, easier and more secure for our clients.

This feature is being gradually rolled out across online shops. While it may not be available everywhere yet, clients can look for the yellow Wero icon at checkout to know they can pay instantly.

Adem Yekeler, Head of Payments at ING Belgium: “With this launch, ING Belgium continues to lead in digital innovation, offering solutions that combine convenience, speed and security — and reinforcing our ambition to be among the very first to bring cutting‑edge payment experiences to our customers, empowering them to shop online with confidence”
