ING Belgium, proud partner of the Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel
ING Belgium renewed at the beginning of this year its partnership with the Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel
ING Belgium renewed at the beginning of this year its partnership with the Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel for a period of three years (2014-2016). In this context two new long-term loans of contemporary works of art from its collection have been made to the Music Chapel.
The prestigious institution offers young people the opportunity to get the best out of themselves in an environment in which they can optimally develop their musical talent. A stay at the Music Chapel creates lifelong added value for the musicians. As a financial institution that always strives to empower its clients to stay a step ahead in life and in business, ING Belgium considers itself a natural partner for the Music Chapel, which daily strives to develop young talent.
In addition to its partnership with the Music Chapel, ING Belgium also supports young talent in the area of art and culture via the Young Belgian Art Prize, from which the ING audience award this year went to Floris Vanhoof. In the context of our partnership with Art Brussels, the international exhibition of contemporary art, we presented the Collection/Connection project by Pierre Bismuth this year.
ING Belgium connects its art collection with its employees, as well as architecture, life and society. In line with this ING Belgium made two works that are recently part of the collection by the artist Ann Veronica Janssens available to the Music Chapel: Untitled (Pink), 2010 and Bright green 2010-2013. In addition, Dan Graham’s pavilion (currently at the Marsveldpark) will be moving to the Music Chapel’s park. Other works from the collection may also follow.
With this initiative, ING Belgium wants to promote art and culture by making both accessible to everyone. The artworks complement the musical world of the chapel and make the connection between the different art forms, the art world and the bank.
We hope that our partnership will offer numerous young virtuosi the opportunity to explore new horizons and prove their talent internationally.
