ING Belgium announces change to the Board of Directors

July 15, 2016 - Pinar Abay is joining the Board of Directors as non-executive director.

As of July 15, 2016, Pinar Abay will join the Board of Directors as non-executive director. The proposed nomination has been approved by the ECB and will be published in the Belgian official journal.

Pinar Abay has close to 20 years of executive experience in the financial sector, both inside and outside ING. She completed her bachelors’ degree in Economics at Bilkent University (Turkey) and obtained an MBA degree from Harvard Business School. She began her career in 1998 at McKinsey & Company in Istanbul as a banking sector consultant and then worked at the company's San Francisco and New York offices. Pinar Abay was Managing Partner at McKinsey & Company before joining ING Bank Turkey as CEO in October 2011, where she still works.
