Hilde Laga new Chairwoman of ING Belgium’s Board of Directors
Brussels - The Board of Directors of ING Belgium has appointed Hilde Laga as the new independent Chairwoman, effective 1 January 2024. She succeeds Pinar Abay, who continues her mandate in the Board of Directors as a non-executive director. Hilde Laga has been a non-executive director of the Board of Directors of ING Belgium since May 2022.

Hilde Laga (°1956) holds a doctorate in law and a master’s degree in notarial law. She was one of the founding partners of the law firm Laga, which she led as managing partner until 2013. She was also head of its corporate and M&A practice. Hilde Laga has gained rich experience in board positions at Barco, Elia, Greenyard, Agfa-Gevaert as well as chairwoman of Gimv. She is a member of the Belgian Corporate Governance Committee and was a member of the FSMA supervisory board until 2014. In May 2022, Laga joined the Board of Directors of ING Belgium as non-executive director. |
